Credentialed membership under the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC). Clinical Fellows have met the rigorous standards of training in Marriage and Family Therapy and are
recognized for these standards.
An individual having completed a master's or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from a regionally accredited educational institution, or an equivalent course of study; currently
completing post-degree supervised clinical hours toward licensure.
Individual in a field related to Marriage and Family Therapy, or other mental health discipline; but not licensed, nor planning to deliver mental health services independently.
Individual enrolled in a graduate level Marriage and Family Therapy program, or equivalent mental health program; reasonably planning and expecting to achieve the
qualifications as a Clinical Fellow or Member of AAMFT.
